Puerto Princesa City, Palawan - In honor of the 2025 National Women's Month, themed "Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Angat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas," the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA, under the management of Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes, and the Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO), headed by Engr. Armando L. Flores, facilitated an orientation seminar on Gender, Sexuality, and Gender Awareness for its employees.

GAD counselor Glaiza T. Sebatna from Palawan State University (PSU), the guest speaker, shared valuable insights on Gender, Sexuality, and Gender Awareness for public servants in the workplace. This aimed to equip employees with knowledge and a deeper understanding of gender issues, reinforcing an inclusive and progressive society where women have equal rights and opportunities. The observance aligns with key national laws and proclamations supporting gender equality, including Republic Act No. 9710, the Magna Carta of Women.

Through this celebration, NIA-PIMO reaffirms its dedication to empowering women across all sectors. The agency believes that fostering an inclusive environment where women thrive leads to a stronger and more progressive nation.
