STRENGTHENING AGRICULTURAL SUSTAINABILITY: BFAR'S COLLABORATIVE INITIATIVE IN MARINDUQUE PIO

Marindque- The coordination meeting, held at the Marinduque Satellite Office, was spearheaded by Regional Fisheries Training and Fisherfolk Coordination Division Chief Hope J. Relayson, and working alongside Ms. Relayson was Mr. Joel Malabanan, Officer-In-Charge of the Provincial Fisheries Office Marinduque, contributing his expertise to the strategic planning process.

The primary objective of this collaborative initiative is to enhance existing irrigation systems, with a specific focus on supporting potential aquaculture fisheries. By optimizing these systems, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) aims to contribute to the overall development of the province's agricultural sector. The meeting provided a platform to discuss innovative approaches, share knowledge, and align strategies for the sustainable growth of aquaculture and related activities.

A key participant in this collaborative effort was Senior Engineer Daniel Angelo M. Malabanan under the guidance of NIA MIMAROPA Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes. The meeting also benefited from the insights and involvement of Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Division Manager Gerardo R. Perez.
