Puerto Princesa City, Palawan - Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Division Manager Armando L. Flores discussed the list of CY 2024 irrigation projects with Congressman Edward S. Hagedorn, 3rd District Representative to improve agricultural development in Aborlan and Puerto Princesa City. The meeting was held on June 21, 2023 in Makati City.
During the meeting, Division Manager Flores together with Sr. Engineer A Mary Grace B. Cartagena presented a comprehensive list of irrigation projects which includes the construction, rehabilitation, and expansion of irrigation systems, service roads, sabo dams, and solar pump projects that covered several barangays in the town and city.
According to Division Manager Flores, the proposed irrigation projects aim to enhance food security and provide efficient, effective, and sustainable irrigation services for local farmers to improve agricultural productivity and increase income of farmer-beneficiaries.
The partnership between the two leaders demonstrates the government's commitment to promote sustainable development in the province and ensure that farmers receive the best possible support for their livelihoods.
