Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro - Under the leadership of Administrator Engr. Eduardo Eddie G. Guillen, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) is steadfast in its dedication to modernizing equipment, with a particular focus on prioritizing the procurement of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) resources for irrigation systems nationwide. Addressing the challenges of monitoring these systems head-on, NIA recently acquired 345 motorcycle units, with 20 of these allocated to NIA MIMAROPA.
A significant milestone in this endeavor was marked during the Inauguration and Blessing of the NIA Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office's (IMO’s) New Building on February 1, 2024. The ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. and NIA Administrator Engr. Eduardo Eddie G. Guillen.
Under the capable leadership of Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes, NIA MIMAROPA is committed to ensuring the timely delivery of services to farmers, thereby furthering the agency's mission of enhancing agricultural productivity and livelihoods across the region.
