Senior Engineer A

1. Minimum Qualification Requirements:

1. Duties & Responsibilities:

1.  Evaluate the preparation of plans, program of work and financial requirement of existing irrigation system in coordination with Construction Management Section;
2.  Evaluate the identified area for restoration, repair and rehabilitation and area for inclusion to the existing irrigation system;
3.  Conduct inventory of completed restored, rehabilitated and repaired area in existing irrigation system and newly completed irrigation project for operation and maintenance;
4.  Conduct and inspect recommended area for exemption of payment of irrigation fee;
5.  Prepare and perform research activities for the improvement of O&M irrigation system and other related activities to irrigated agriculture;
6.  Prepare and evaluate various periodic report;
7. Supervise the construction, erection and installation of mechanical machineries and equipment;
8. Design and prepare specifications and estimates of mechanical parts, equipment and other related materials and supplies to be procured;
9. Conduct technical inspection of mechanical parts, equipment and machineries delivered before final acceptance for adherence to plans and specifications;
10. Conduct spot inspection of equipment in critical areas and closer supervision as the need arises.  Recommend solutions and submits report of inspection;
11.  Perform other related functions.

   2. Personnel Selection Board (PSB) screening
2. Further Assessment Steps
   1. Work-related Written examinations
   2. Panel interview
   3. Other related tests, i.e., IQ Test/Personality Test, as deemed necessary

IV. Documentary Requirements:

1. All interested qualified applicants shall submit the following to the Office of the Regional Irrigation Manager, Attn.: Administrative Section, NIA Regional Office IV-B, Bayanan II, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

1.  Applicants who fail to submit complete documentary requirements as prescribed shall not be included in the evaluation.

V. Other Relevant Information:

Candidate/s found by the PSB to have met the minimum qualification requirements (Item I) and have successfully hurdled the Assessment Process (Item III) will be certified by the PSB as qualified for appointment/promotion to the subject vacancy.
