Romblon- NIA MIMAROPA, headed by Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes turned over the Marigondon Sur Communal Irrigation System- Solar Pump Irrigation Project (CIS-SPIP) to 13 farmers in the municipality of San Andres in Romblon on July 4, 2023.
This project, under the program of Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO), has a service area of 10 hectares located at Brgy. Doña Trinidad in the said municipality.
The P5-million project involves the installation of solar panels, water tank, control panel house, drain box, valve box, pedestal for solar mounting, and 2" diameter HDPE pipeline.
During the event, Acting Regional Manager Cervantes reminds the Doñan Irrigators' Service Association Officers and members to strengthen their association and reminds them to attend and participate in the IA activities and meetings.
Doñan Irrigators' Service Association President Harry G. Pagayunan further expressed his gratitude to the agency for the said project.
The ceremony was also witnessed by MOMARO IMO Division Manager Gerardo R. Perez, Romblon Provincial Irrigation Officer-in-Charge Leonora C. Calusin, Senior Engineer Daniel Angelo M. Malabanan, Institutional Development Program (IDP) implementers, Barangay Captain Hon. Justine Jose M. Fronda, Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Joel G. Ibañez and Rev. Rose Marie Espinosa.
