Occidental Mindoro - With the support of National Irrigation Administration (NIA) - MIMAROPA Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (OMIMO) Division Manager Raymundo L. Calusin, together with Engineering and Operations Section Officer-In-Charge Nojario T. Baladjay Jr. and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) representative Engr. Jefferlyn N. Sacro completed a joint site validation and topographic survey for the proposed Convergence Project in Pagbahan River Irrigation System (RIS) Casague Area last September 5, 2023.
The estimated P50M project aims to provide riverbank protection and enhance the overall structure of the area. This is part of the agency’s initiative to strengthen agricultural development and safeguard the welfare of the surrounding communities.
Subsequently, DM Calusin and Engr. Baladjay conducted project monitoring and inspection of CY 2023 ongoing projects in Pagbahan RIS, Amnay RIS Patrick Area, Lumintao RIS, and Talabaan Solar Pump Irrigation Project (SPIP). This is to monitor the status of physical accomplishment and ensure that the projects will be completed within the predetermined contract time frame.
