Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro - On December 11, 2023, NIA MIMAROPA Regional Office, led by Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, participated in a Drug-Free Workplace Program Orientation. The program, held at the NIA-IA Training Center in Bayanan II, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, aimed to provide a safe work environment for NIA employees by promoting their health, safety, and well-being.
Organized pursuant to NIA Memorandum Circular No. 126, s. 2023, entitled "Amendment to NIA MC No. 68, s. 2016," the program adhered to the pertinent provisions of Republic Act No. 9165, the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Regulation No. 2 S. 2004, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Resolution No. 101359, and the CSC MC No. 13, S. 2010.
Recognizing the detrimental impact of substance abuse on productivity, absenteeism, and other workplace factors, the program highlighted the importance of creating a drug-free environment.© KDT, RN
Among the invited resource speakers from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) MIMAROPA were Security Officer III and Assistant Provincial Officer Marleo Sumale, Acting Public Information Officer and Chief of Preventive Education and Community Involvement Faye Faltado-Maaño, and Intelligence Officer I and Preventive Education and Community Involvement Officer Elma Elacion.
Engineering and Operations Division Manager Lowell L. Lozano and Administrative and Finance Division Manager Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron also participated in the said activity.
