NIA MIMAROPA ENGINEERING STAFF COMPLETERS VEVA WORKSHOPP FOR THE MALABANGAN RIP IN PUERTO PRINCESA CITY

Puerto Princesa City, Palawan - With the support of NIA MIMAROPA Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, and Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Division Manager Armando L. Flores, the MIMAROPA Engineering staff recently completed the Value Engineering/Value Analysis (VEVA) workshop for the Malabangan River Irrigation Project (RIP) on December 3-9, 2023 in Puerto Princesa City.

The VEVA training was purposely held to empower participants with the necessary skills and to effectively interpret study results, making the workshop an essential step to optimize the outcomes of the Malabangan RIP in Rizal, Palawan.

Hosted by NIA Central office PIVS-PPD, ED Principal Engineer Herald Chino S. Perez, the workshop aims to equip said personnel with tools and a mindset geared towards promoting cost efficiency, innovation, risk mitigation, and quality improvement of the irrigation project. By focusing on these elements, NIA MIMAROPA seeks to ensure long-term success for the Malabangan RIP to benefit agricultural communities in the province.
