NIA MIMAROPA Empowers Staff with Training on News Writing, Photography, Management of Social Media, and Events and Complaints Handling

San Jose, Occidental Mindoro - With the growing demand for effective communication strategies in the digital age, NIA MIMAROPA headed by Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, equipped the agency’s Public Relations Officers and Artist Illustrators with essential skills through the conduct of comprehensive training on basic news writing, photography, management of social media and events, and complaints handling on August 16-17, 2023 at NIA Training Center in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

This two-day training aims to enhance the ability to craft compelling news articles, capture visually engaging photographs, manage events efficiently, leverage social media platforms effectively for information dissemination and engagement purposes, as well as handle complaints tactfully and professionally.

Among the invited resource speakers were Information Officer A Maria Elena P. Valenzuela, PhD, Public Relations Officer Sheen Claudette C. Paz, Information System Researcher Nicomedes M. Maluya Jr., Head Photographer Allan John O. Zita, and Artist Illustrator Paul Michael P. Mara from Public Affairs and Information Staff (PAIS) – NIA Central Office.

Present during the activity were Public Relations personnel from the Regional Office, Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO) and Occidental Mindoro IMO and selected personnel . Palawan IMO also joined in virtual attendance.
