Oriental Mindoro - In compliance with EO No. 2 s, 2016, National Irrigation Administration (NIA) produced a manual on Freedom of Information (FOI). This policy meant to enhance transparency and accountability in government official acts, transactions, or decisions. To have a unified understanding on the guidelines, NIA MIMAROPA conducted an orientation seminar facilitated by Ms. Pilipina P. Bermudez of Public Affairs and Information Staff (PAIS) last April 19, 2017.
Key personnel from the three irrigation management offices and regional office headed by Acting Regional Manager Ramon A. Bugacia participated in the activity.
Ms. Bermudez explained the roles of the Decision Maker (DM) and FOI Receiving Officer (FRO) in the process of granting information request to the public. She also identified the information that are exempted in the FOI.
