NIA Central Office Conducts Successful Monitoring and Validation for Lipitan SRIP

San Jose, Occidental Mindoro - The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) - Central Office, represented by key personnel including Dan Anthony C. Rubas - Supervising Geologist A, Interim Geology Section (IGS) – Project Planning Division (PPD), Recelyn T. Arayata - Senior Geologist, IGS-PPD, and Franz Michael M. Bantillo - Senior Engineer A, Plan Formulation and Packaging Section (PFPS) - PPD, recently conducted a comprehensive monitoring and validation initiative. This endeavor aimed to assess the ongoing drilling activities and validate test pit and borehole data conducted by the consultant from Engineering and Development Corporation of the Philippines (EDCOP) in connection with the Feasibility Study of the proposed Lipitan SRIP, located at Monte Claro, in the municipality of San Jose.

Under the guidance of NIA-MIMAROPA Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes and NIA-Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (OMIMO) Division Manager Raymundo L. Calusin, this activity was designed to ensure and validate that the aforementioned actions produce geo-scientifically robust outcomes with high-quality data. These factors are crucial in shaping the envisioned structures and ensuring their long-term success.

The said activity was assisted by Engr. Jeremy Jay V. Bue and Economist Jinky E. Santos

On their last day, the team from NIA – Central Office conducted a courtesy meeting with Division Manager Calusin to present and discuss the outcomes and potential plans for the project.
