NIA Central Office Conducts Partial Inventory of Bongabong River Irrigation Project in MIMAROPA

San Jose, Occidental Mindoro - NIA MIMAROPA Acting Regional Manager led the entrance conference for the Partial Inventory of the Bongabong River Irrigation Project (RIP) earlier today at NIA Training Center, Bayanan II, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. Conducted by the NIA Central Office, this activity aims to ensure the smooth transition of operational responsibility for the completed infrastructure to the Operations Department and to formally incorporate the Bongabong RIP into NIA's records as part of the existing irrigation system.

The Bongabong RIP is under the Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO) program, benefiting over 4,000 farmers in the municipalities of Bongabong, Roxas, and Mansalay, with a potential irrigable area of 4,959 hectares.

Among the members of the NIA Central Office inventory team were Officer-in-Charge of the Construction Planning and Scheduling Section Cynthia C. Riñosa, Supervising Engineer Christopher D. Manlangit, Senior Engineers Edward Dave C. Masaoy, Noel Kristoffer S. Vicho, Ruby D. Malaluan, Paulo L. Roxas and Warren Denzle V. Lucas, Engr. Rose Ann F. Yabao, Engr. Aerish Jane L. During the activity, the schedule of their planned activities was discussed, and all the necessary documentation for the inventory was also reviewed. The partial inventory of the project is set on October 23 to 27, 2023, with fieldwork to be conducted by the infrastructure committee. In contrast, the finance committee will convene to reconcile and consolidate expenses and budgets.
