In a significant step towards enhancing infrastructure development and water management, joint inspections between the NIA Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) were successfully carried out on August 8 and August 11, 2023. With the support of Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, these inspections aimed to assess and strengthen the projects that play a pivotal role in the irrigation and water management.
On August 8, 2023, NIA MOMARO IMO Senior Engineer Anastacio L. Naling Jr., together with DPWH Marinduque District Engineering Office representative Engr. Mike Malitao, spearheaded a joint inspection for the proposed protection works of Laon Mataas na Bayan CIS in Mogpog, Marinduque. Meanwhile, on August 11, 2023, joint inspections for the proposed protection works and drainage canal at Mag-Asawang Tubig RIS (MTRIS), as well as the proposed drainage system in Baco-Bucayao RIS (BBRIS), were also conducted in Oriental Mindoro. These inspections were led by NIA MOMARO IMO Engr. Junar L. Veloso and Engr. Mark Eriel B. Lunario, along with DPWH (Oriental Mindoro - 1st District Engineering Office) Engineers Alexis C. Caldero and Jolly Renzo A. Sabado, and surveyor Jef Mataya.
