Oriental Mindoro – Pursuant to the directive of NIA Administrator Ricardo R Visaya and as stated in NIA Memorandum Circular No. 53 s 2020, NIA MIMAROPA Regional Manager William P. Ragodon undertakes resumption of irrigation construction through the Contractors’ Forum conducted at Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. This is conducted before deployment of NIA and contractors’ personnel in the field.
With him are Engineering and Operations Acting Division Manager Lowell L. Lozano, Administrative and Finance Acting Division Manager Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron and MOMARO IMO Acting Division Manager Gerardo R. Perez.
Following the social distancing policy, NIA MIMAROPA management discussed and explained to the contractors of Oriental Mindoro, the premise on the resumption of construction works relative to irrigation. Proper coordination with the Local Chief Executives (LCEs) was also undertaken to ensure smooth and unhampered project implementation. IDs were given to contractors to serve as quarantine pass. This is upon ensuring that contractors and their employees have proven that they are physically fit to work and does not exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19. It was also reminded that the workers to be deployed should have proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs).
NIA assures that proper safety protocols will be adhered relative to the health of NIA employees and contractors.
