NIA Occidental Mindoro conducts test run of newly-completed irrigation project

Occidental Mindoro - NIA Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (IMO) headed by Acting Division Manager Raymundo L. Calusin conducts test run of the newly-completed irrigation project on February 9, 2021 – the Cabagan Small Irrigation Project (SIP). The project was completed on February 6, 2021.

Cabagan SIP is a P30.25-million project located in the municipality of Sta. Cruz which includes the construction of canal lining and canal structures. The project has generated an area of 200 hectares that will benefit 60 farmers of the said municipality.

The Amnay Cabagan Irrigators Association (IA) who will manage the said irrigation project expressed their gratitude to the management of NIA MIMAROPA particularly to Regional Manager William P. Ragodon for the completion of the project.

“Kami pong samahan ng Amnay Cabagan Irrigators Association ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa Diyos, dahil kayo po yung kanyang ginagamit upang mabiyayaan kami ng isang napakagandang proyekt na aming mapapakinabangan habang buhay. Ang inyo pong ahensya sa National Irrigation Administration ay lalo pang tumatag at maging matibay sa tulong at gabay ng Diyos. Ito po ang lagi naming panalangin. Lagi nya kayong ingatan, ilayo sa ano mang uri ng karamdaman at kapahamakan at lalo pang lumawak at marami pang matulungang mga magsasaka di po lamang dito sa Mindoro kundi sa buong Pilipinas. Ito po ang aming pasasalamat una po sa Diyos at pangalawa po sa inyo at sa inyong ahensya. Marami pong Salamat. Pagpalain po kayo ng Diyos.”
