Oriental Mindoro - NIA MIMAROPA, with the support of Regional Manager William P. Ragodon, conducted the Nutrition Advocacy Seminar as part of the Wellness Restoration Project of the agency on June 16, 2022 at NIA Training Center, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.
The activity aims to encourage healthy eating for the officials and employees to promote good health, increase productivity, reduce absenteeism and improve nutritional well-being.
Ms. Ma. Johnna Ver S. Valencia, RND and Ms. Zeus Ann C. Cornejo, RMT of the Department of Health Oriental Mindoro were the invited resource speakers. They discussed healthy food and good nutrition in the new normal and healthy lifestyle. Part of the discussion were topics on common health problems like Type II Diabetes and Hypertension. The speakers also shared various ways and activities to achieve healthy lifestyle.
Division Manager for Administrative and Finance Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron emphasized in her message that the activity is to ensure that employees were healthy and fit to continue providing services and accomplishing their tasks in the agency. She added that seminar is related to the saying that health is wealth.
Furthermore, as part of the program, NIA will strive to serve nutritious food during meetings, trainings and activities pursuant to CSC MC 04 s. 2003 “Promotion of Good Nutrition in the Bureaucracy”. #AVGB
