Palawan - The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) - Palawan Irrigation Management Office (PIMO) installs first solar-powered pump - Isumbo Pump Irrigation Project (PIP) with 3,728.5 watt or 5 horsepower (hp) submersible pump motor capable to produce 100 gallons of water per minute (gpm) sufficient which can irrigate 10 hectares of farm land even on dry season in Bgy. Isumbo, Sofronio Española.
Palawan - To support economic development of El Nido due to effect of COVID-19 pandemic, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) - Palawan Irrigation Management Office (PIMO) conducts test run of Villa Paz Small Irrigation Project (SIP) funded by Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program-Irrigation Component (CARP-IC) on June 11, 2020 in Bgy. Villa Paz to ensure completed project can efficiently use by 27 farmer beneficiaries to increase their crop production in the municipality for next cropping period.
