MIMAROPA recognized anew as 2020 Best Regional Office in NIA; Palawan hailed as Best Irrigation Management Office

MIMAROPA is once again recognized as the Best Regional Office while Palawan was hailed as the Best Irrigation Management Office for the year 2020 in National Irrigation Administration (NIA) nationwide. NIA MIMAROPA and Palawan previously held the title in 2018.

Headed by Regional Manager William P. Ragodon and Division Manager Conrado V. Cardenas Jr., the two offices received the award during the virtual conduct of NIA’s 58th Founding Anniversary Celebration on June 22, 2021.

LEADERSHIP TURNOVER OF MOMARO IMO

Oriental Mindoro - Turnover of Leadership for the management of Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) IMO was conducted on May 27, 2021 presided by Regional Manager William P. Ragodon.

Pursuant to NIA Office Memorandum No. 54 and 56 series of 2021, Engr. Gerardo R. Perez was re-assigned as Division Manager of Laguna-Rizal IMO while Engr. Maria Victoria O. Malenab was designated as Acting Division Manager of MOMARO IMO.

Cabinet Secretary Nograles Visits NIA MIMAROPA, emphasizes EPAHP

Oriental Mindoro - Chairman of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Zero Hunger and Chairman of the NIA Board Karlo Alexei P. Nograles visited NIA MIMAROPA on May 25, 2021 and emphasized the significance of the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) in helping mitigate hunger, ensure food and nutrition security, and reduce poverty in urban and rural communities, including marginalized communities. He was welcomed by NIA MIMAROPA Regional Management headed by Regional Manager William P.

NIA MIMAROPA conducts Gender Sensitivity Training

Oriental Mindoro - With the support of Regional Manager William P. Ragodon, NIA MIMAROPA conducts the Gender Sensitivity Training (GST) on May 11, 2021 as part of the gender mainstreaming efforts of the agency. The activity further aims to promote gender equality/equity in the organization and community, heighten appreciation on GAD, and improve awareness on GAD and continuously develop human resources and their capabilities relative to NIA Administrator’s 4-point agenda.
